In the first part of the year 2019, work on the seismic improvement of the Cernusco sul Naviglio hanging tank was carried out.

Seismic improvement at the hanging tank in Cernusco sul Naviglio.
For the purpose of improving the seismic behavior of the structure, metal carpentry braces resistant to horizontal forces and having dissipative capabilities were built.
Teknoprogetti carried out the design and work in the year 2019, in January and February.
The work was completed in March, for the Feast of St. Joseph, the patron saint of the village.
Advantages of using steelwork bracing with dissipative capacity
By installing the bracing, Teknoprogetti provided the structure with several benefits.
Here are some of them:
- Higher level of seismic protection of the framed structure with the same strength/stiffness;
- Limitation of interventions to only those frames affected by the introduction of the devices;
- Reduction of interventions in the foundation (to be located, for example, only at the braces themselves);
- Possible reduction of possible repair work and maintenance of building functionality and operability, even after violent earthquakes.
