Verification of projects for the purpose of Validation

Project verification for validation purposes is a service primarily aimed at public administrations in relation to public works projects that require to be verified and validated prior to the approval of the project itself and the commencement of contracting procedures. However, it can also find application among private principals. The verification of designs for validation purposes consists of verifying the compliance of the design drawings with the terms of theArt. 26 of Legislative Decree. 50/2016 (old Procurement Code) and theArticle 42 of Legislative Decree. 36/2023 (new Procurement Code), as well as their compliance with current regulations.

As a rule, the activity is aimed at supporting the Single Project Manager (SPO) who provides validation of the project. The purpose of project verification according to Annex I.7 – Art. 39 of Leg. 36/2023, is to ascertain the following project requirements:

• Reliability
• Completeness and adequacy
• Readability, consistency, and retraceability
• Compatibility
