Static testing is aimed at the verification of structures with an essentially static function within the scope of the construction of the work. Its scope and modalities-more generally Technical Standards for Construction-are defined by Ch. 9 of Ministerial Decree Jan. 17, 2018<\/strong>. The chapter states: “The static testing, understood as a procedure governed by current industry laws, is aimed at evaluating and assessing the performance, as defined by these standards, of the works and structural components included in the project and any variations filed with the competent regulatory bodies. If successful, the procedure concludes with the issuance of the testing certificate.”
The static testing must include:<\/p>

  • The inspection of structures in the various stages of construction of the work<\/li>
  • The examination of certificates of material evidence<\/li>
  • The examination of the design of the work<\/li>
  • The examination of any supplementary evidence<\/li>
  • The review of the Completed Structure Report prepared by the structural construction management<\/li><\/ul>

    <\/p>

    Structural elements are generally no longer fully inspectable following installation. Static testing is understood to be in-progress testing, with the exception of some special cases. For this reason, the laboratory for nondestructive testing is a valuable support for the inspector who, in agreement with the Construction Management, can prescribe some supplementary verifications to reach the judgment of testability of the work: these include static load tests<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
